Top Ten Best Werewolf Transformations

Halloween may be just a few days away, but did you know that October 26th was Howl At the Moon Day? For those of you planning to release your inner werewolf on Halloween with wolf contacts, this is the perfect day to try out your costume and perhaps you best howl as well!

And so, to get you in the mood for Howl At The Moon Day (and for Halloween) I have present a fun compilation of my favorite werewolf transformations from movies and Tv Programs, So round up your wolf pack and enjoy!

10) Teen Wolf – The Movie
Ok, hardly the most terrifying of werewolf transformations, but it is the most fun. A pre-Back To The Future Michael J Fox endures the family secret – that he has inherited his father’s lupine genes and starts going all hairy during adolescence (and we’re talking way beyond what is normal!).

9) Being Human – UK
This British series centers around friends who share an apartment but who all have a secret – they are supernatural entities. One is a vampire, one is a ghost, and the other is a werewolf, all just trying to blend in and live normal lives. But, as you can see, it is not always easy…

8) Hemlock Grove
Hemlock Grove is an American horror thriller television series for Netflix based on McGreevy’s novel Hemlock Grove. The series is set in the town of Hemlock Grove, Pennsylvania. Peter Rumancek, a 17-year-old Romani, is suspected of local murders by some of the townsfolk and is also rumored to be a werewolf. While he is secretly a werewolf, he is not the killer, and, along with the heir to the Godfrey estate, Roman, he sets out to solve the mystery.

7) Battledogs
Not everyone fell in love with this SyFy original movie about werewolves, but we like this particular transformation. Check it out and see if you agree!

6) New Moon
Love it or hate it, the Twilight saga has made its clawmark on the world of werewolves. As with Underworld, it features a conflict between werewolves and vampires, and a love triangle involving a human girl, Bella.

5) Van Helsing
In 2004 Hugh Jackman stocked up on anti-werewolf weaponry and went after not only wolves but every famous monster in folklore.  Although the transformation from man to wolf in this film was completely digital, it was still impressive.

4) Company of Wolves
A film which relies heavily on sexual symbolism but equally on lots of startling wolfy transformations, this 1981 British film features one of the most bizarre scenes where a wolf  literally ruptures the hapless human it inhabits.

3) Underworld
The underworld franchise has clocked up 4 films. The story revolves around the age-old conflict between vampires and werewolves (what—you mean you didn’t know?) and has gone from strength to strength.

2) The Howling
One of the earliest of the ‘new wave’ of werewolf movies was The Howling, directed by Joe Dante and based on the novel of the same name. After a bizarre and near fatal encounter with a serial killer, a television newswoman is sent to a remote mountain resort whose residents may not be what they seem. There be werewolves!

Now thirty years old, the indelible impression left by this transformation scene is still with us. After an American college student on a walking tour in England is attacked by a werewolf, he struggles to hide his new identity.
